We launched AutoProctor in June 2020, when schools and colleges were forced to switch to remote learning due to COVID. It began as a week-long prototype, running on a tiny $5 server.
Within 3 months, we had conducted 700,000 exams. In 2 years, that number grew to 10 million! AutoProctor was built to ensure teachers didn't have to worry about some candidates using unfair means to score high.
Even after COVID receded, AutoProctor continued to be relevant for distance learning, pre-hiring assessments and so on. And then, ChatGPT happened! Due to LLMs, it was clear that no online exam or assignment would make sense without proctoring. So, proctoring is here to stay!
