The website is an online test proctoring platform. Users take tests on the site, and the site prevents and detects instances of malpractice. It communicates these instances to the test-taker or test-administrator, based on the way the test has been configured.
By content, we mean the text contained in the webpages, as well as the visual elements—images, animations and videos. Unless otherwise mentioned, all content hosted on the website is created and owned by AutoProctor. No use or re-use of this content, for commerical or non-commercial purposes, with or without modification is allowed without our explicit, written consent. Any violation of this policy will make the violator liable for prosecution. This policy applies not only for exact reproduction of the material, but, even if the content is reproduced with cosmetic changes.
AutoProctor uses a considerable amount of code and algorithms to detect violations of test conditions. A lot of this code is client-side. You are prohibited from copying/using this code elsewhere.
We shall strive to keep the website running without any glitches. But, if any website feature does becomes non-functional due to any reason, we request you to notify us immediately.
We absolve ourselves of all responsibilities arising out of inaccurate content/unavailability of any website feature, for both free and paid users. If the website remains inaccessible for extended periods of time, paid users shall be entitled to a compensation that shall be arrived at after consultation with such users.
We also track the interaction of the users. This includes, but is not limited to, the elements they click/tap on, their mouse-movements, the amount of time they spend on a particular page, etc. This shall be referred to as "usage data".
Both PII and usage data are made available to the "superior entity", if such an entity exists. For a student, the superior entity includes the teacher and the parent, and their superior entities. For the teacher, the superior entity includes the principal.
AutoProctor uses usage data to determine the efficiency of its own methods. In particular, we analyse these data to build a better product and more refined content. Occasionally, we may collaborate with external entities to further analyse the efficacy of this content. In all such cases, we shall ensure that the PII associated with the usage data has been removed.
We shall not release PII or usage data to any other agent or party except as required to do so by law.
We may collect non-PII data that results from your usage of the website, via cookies or otherwise. Further, we may use this data to customise the content that appears on the website to make it, in our judgment, more relevant to the particular machine logging on to the website, or the IP address from which a user is logging on to the website.
